The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) through Excellence in Africa (EXAF) project, is organizing the outreach program where by a team of researchers which is led by Dr. Thomas Kivevele has visited and met with some secondary and primary schools’ students in Arusha region in May and June 2022. The secondary schools involved in this program are Kisimiri, Kikwe, Tengeru boys, Ilboru and Arusha girls while the primary schools are Kikwe, Nganana, Nambala and Olomitu.
The purpose of the program is to mentor and motivate the young science students to come up with innovations in the area of energy, specifically in Biofuel. After mentorship sessions, each school was required to form groups and competing within school and the best two groups will compete with other schools on 9th July, 2022 at the NM-AIST.
The winner groups will get certificate and prizes and certificate of participation will be offered to all other groups which participated the competitions.
